When this young family found this property in Gymea Bay, they looked beyond the existing two-bedroom house and recognised the opportunity to create a contemporary five-bedroom home designed for the next chapter of their lives.

Inspired by the character of the Sutherland Shire, the design responds to Gymea Bay's sandstone escarpments, mature native landscape and the seamless connection between architecture and nature. Carefully integrated into the sloping site, the new living spaces open to the outdoors, creating a home that feels both grounded in its setting and connected to its landscape.

A thoughtful transformation that demonstrates the value of looking beyond what a home is today and imagining what it could become.
