My Story
Architecture has fascinated me for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in Austria, I developed an appreciation for thoughtful design, craftsmanship and the way architecture has the power to shape how we live. I went on to study Design at the Graz Technical School of Art and Design before completing a Master of Architecture at the Graz University of Technology. My European architectural education provided a strong foundation in design thinking, technical excellence and attention to detail—values that continue to guide my work today.
After moving to Australia, I have spent more than 20 years working across residential, commercial, heritage and accessible design projects throughout Sydney, Brisbane and the Illawarra. During this time, I have collaborated with leading architectural practices, consultants and builders, gaining extensive experience across every stage of a project, from concept design and planning approvals through to construction documentation and project delivery.
I founded AR Plan Design Build with a simple goal: to offer clients a more personal architectural service. One where they work directly with me throughout the entire journey—from the first conversation and initial sketches through to construction and completion.
I enjoy uncovering the hidden potential within a property, solving complex design challenges and creating spaces that are both architecturally distinctive and highly functional. Whether it's a new home, a thoughtful renovation, a heritage project or a home modification, my aim is always to create architecture that responds to the people who live there and the unique qualities of its site.
My experience also extends to accessible residential design and home modifications, where thoughtful architecture can improve independence, dignity and everyday living while remaining beautifully integrated into the home.
For me, great architecture is the balance between beauty and purpose. It is about creating homes that are thoughtfully designed, technically well resolved and carefully crafted to enrich everyday life.
